Job Title: A-Level Psychology Teacher

Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic A-Level Psychology teacher to join our international department. The successful candidate will deliver Cambridge/EDEXCEL A-Level Psychology curriculum to middle-school students (Grades 9–12) in a bilingual setting.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging A-Level Psychology lessons in line with Cambridge/EDEXCEL syllabus (e.g., Paper 1–4, core studies, research methods, and thematic approaches).

Prepare students for external A-Level examinations, including regular formative and summative assessments, mock exams, and targeted feedback.

Develop and update course materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans that cater to diverse learner needs (EAL support included).

Teach research methodology and psychological ethics, guiding students through practical investigations and report writing.

Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely reports to parents and academic management.

Participate in parent-teacher conferences, open days, and departmental meetings.

Collaborate with the subject team to align teaching strategies and share best practices.

Supervise Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ) or psychology-related extracurricular activities (e.g., Psychology Club, guest speaker events).

Uphold school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and academic integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology or a related field (Master’s/PhD preferred).

Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years of A-Level Psychology teaching experience in an international school setting (native Cambridge/EDEXCEL examiner experience is a plus).

Excellent command of English (native or near-native).

Strong classroom management and ability to differentiate instruction for EAL learners.

Familiarity with lab-based practical work and research project supervision.
