As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver II in Odessa, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional in a retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving post offers the opportunity to support daily operations with strong communication, professionalism, and integrity while working as part of a caring, agile, and reliable team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe unusual activity, document security-related concerns, and report issues to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence, following access control procedures, and completing detailed incident and/or activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 years of armed security-related experience is required.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must possess one or more of the following;
    • Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role
    • Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (5) years armed experience
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
