Position Overview

The Linda Bryant School is seeking dedicated, community-driven professionals to serve on its Board of Directors. Board Members will provide strategic guidance, governance, and support to ensure the schools long-term success, sustainability, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for the school
• Support organizational growth, sustainability, and long-term planning
• Assist in fundraising efforts and community partnerships
• Offer expertise in your professional area to strengthen operations
• Participate in board meetings and key organizational initiatives
• Serve as an ambassador for the school within the community
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and governance standards

Preferred Backgrounds

We are specifically seeking individuals with experience in:

• Finance
• Local Government / Public Administration
• School Leadership / Education Administration
• Fundraising / Development

Experience in starting or scaling schools or educational programs is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be based in or closely connected to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, or Lauderhill
• Passion for education and community impact
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to commit time for meetings and strategic initiatives
• Professional integrity and sound judgment

Commitment Expectations

• Attend regular board meetings (virtual and/or in-person)
• Actively participate in committees or initiatives as needed
• Support fundraising and community engagement efforts
• Serve a defined term (to be discussed upon selection)
