Skilled Carpenter Job Description Position Title: Skilled Carpenter Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and/or light commercial construction, with the ability to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, and other building materials. Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, flooring, drywall, and other finish carpentry components. Construct, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans. Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively. Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards. Collaborate with project managers, to complete projects on schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Identify and resolve construction issues while maintaining project timelines. Qualifications Minimum of 3–5 years of professional carpentry experience. Proficient in framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, and general construction. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Strong measuring skills. Experience using a wide variety of hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong work ethic, dependability, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications OSHA safety certification. Experience with residential remodeling or commercial construction. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
