Job Description

High School Spanish Teacher Full‑time, remote position for the 2025/2026 school year. Must reside in Michigan. Key Responsibilities Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students. Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery levels. Augment course content using appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach. Maintain grade book, ensure academic integrity, and alert administrators to performance concerns. Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests. Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, communicate regularly, and respond in a timely manner. Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues, including basic troubleshooting in the virtual classroom. Travel as required (e.g., once per month or 20% of the time) for professional development, testing, and school events. Required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Active state teaching license with a Spanish endorsement. Ability to clear the required background check. Desired Qualifications Experience teaching high school Spanish, including working with the proposed age group. Experience supporting students and adults with technology use. Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick‑and‑mortar environment. Familiarity with online learning platforms and data‑driven decision making. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to learn new technologies quickly and maintain certification and professional development hours. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of approximately $47,000 plus performance bonus eligibility. Salary varies based on experience and role level.
