Library Customer Service Assistant I We’re hiring full and part‑time Library Customer Service Assistant I positions at various library branches. If you enjoy organized work, helping people, and being part of a collaborative team, this role offers the opportunity to support daily library operations while delivering excellent service to our community. In this position, you will perform essential circulation and customer service functions that keep the library running efficiently and ensure patrons have access to the resources they need. Responsibilities Provide friendly, responsive customer service at circulation and information desks Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials, library card accounts, and accessing computer and multi‑function copier equipment Check in, sort, file, and shelve library materials and maintain alphabetical and numerical call number systems Load, unload, and transport materials using book carts Participate in branch team meetings and collaborate with staff to maintain smooth daily operations For more information and essential functions, see our Library Customer Service Assistant I job description. Information Specific to this Position The current openings are for full‑time and part‑time positions with flexible scheduling options. Part‑time hours average 12–32 hours per week at various library branch locations. The schedule will include some weekends and evenings.
