Overview We are seeking a full-time Senior Tax Accountant at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the completion, review, and filing of corporate tax returns, preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies, and maintenance and reconciliation of all general ledger tax accounts. Essential Functions Prepare/review corporate tax returns and remit tax payments Manage process of corporate returns prepared by external advisors Remit tax payments Research changes in tax laws and policies and communicate results of research in written and verbal format Mentor/share knowledge with less experienced Tax Accountant associates Income Tax Responsibilities Assist with global income tax provision, owning certain components of the global income tax provision calculation as well as the preparation and review of certain jurisdiction’s income tax provision Manage transfer pricing process for certain jurisdictions including documentation, compliance, and audits Indirect Tax Responsibilities Monitor real estate taxes based on values of all U.S. properties owned Prepare/review personal property tax returns of all Garmin U.S. entities Manage process of sales and use and property tax returns prepared by external advisors Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field AND a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Must be detail-oriented, work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision, and be able to prioritize/multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, work well with others, possess excellent time management/follow-up/organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality Desired Qualifications Experience working with Oracle or other ERP systems Experience with OneSource Tax software CPA certification Equal Opportunity Employer Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
