About the Position

Opportunity:

RN - Pediatric CVOR

Job Details:

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) environment
• Unit consists of 2 CVOR rooms located on the 3rd floor
• Day shift staffing with call coverage for night shift
• On-call requirement of approximately 10 days per month
• After-hours and weekend call required
• Perform and assist with open heart surgery procedures
• Adult or Pediatric CVOR experience required - candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Pediatric CVOR experience preferred and candidates with this background will be considered first
• EMR system: Meditech
• Must have the ability to work in a stressful environment with strong critical thinking skills
• Must be able to adapt to patient care situations in an open-heart environment
• Travel RN experience preferred

Facility:

This facility is a dedicated pediatric hospital housing a specialized congenital heart team known for its collaborative and close-knit work environment. The heart center recently opened a new 25-bed cardiac ICU and is supported by two congenital heart surgeons. The unit maintains a highly skilled team consisting of full-time and part-time registered nurses along with certified surgical scrub technicians, all focused on delivering exceptional pediatric cardiac surgical care.
