We're seeking a dependable, customer-focused Propane and Fuels Service and Delivery Specialist to join our team serving Watauga. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service, values safety, and enjoys hands-on work that keeps our customers' homes and businesses running smoothly. As a Propane and Fuels Service and Delivery Specialist, you'll be a key part of Blue Ridge Energy's commitment to exceptional service and community connection. You'll deliver propane and other fuel products, perform installations and maintenance, and ensure each customer receives the safe, reliable service they expect from Blue Ridge Energy.

What You'll Do

• Deliver propane and other fuel products to residential and commercial customers safely and efficiently.

• Provide exceptional, personalized customer service that strengthens member relationships.

• Install and service propane tanks and related equipment as needed.

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on delivery vehicles and equipment.

• Conduct safety checks on company and customer systems before dispensing fuel.

• Maintain accurate records and billing through company software and technology.

• Respond to after-hours or emergency service calls as part of a rotating on-call schedule.

• Help grow our business by identifying new opportunities and supporting customer retention.

• Participate in ongoing training and company safety initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience: At least one year of hands-on propane or fuel delivery experience preferred.

• Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and safely in all weather conditions.

  • Comfortable using computers and related technology.

  • Knowledge of the Watauga-area geography is a plus.

• Licensing & Requirements:

  • Valid NC Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat, Air Brake, and Tanker endorsements .

  • Safe driving record (past 3 years).

  • Current D.O.T. physical exam and ability to pass ongoing drug screenings.

• Preferred Certifications: Forklift Operator and/or Knuckle Boom/Crane Operator training.

Work Schedule

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (hours may vary with workload and emergencies).

• On-Call: Must be available for 24/7 on-call delivery and service needs.

• Residency: Must live within a 30-minute drive of the Watauga District office.
